my lovely package

the story goes:
17 days ago I sat at our computer cajoling Ned to tell me
which books he wanted to read through the winter.
we selected 5 great reads through the online book distrubutor
Better World Books.
This company is a good one.
They write quirky emails in response to your orders,
and give money to charities around the globe.
and..... it only cost $3.97 per book for shipping internationally!
and free in the USA.
A pretty good deal.
Today the package arrived in the arms of Mr. Lin.
It was ripped open, but the contents were still there.
I had to pay him 8 yuan ($1.15) to get my package.

These are the 5 books we ordered.
We love cuddling in bed with a good read, a cup of tea or coffee
and staying warm while the harsh Mongolian winds blow outside.
These books will accompany us through our winter journey.

These 3 other books were in the package, but we did not order them!
They seem strange, like maybe the bookseller just wanted to get rid of them.
They're all by a guy named John Leonard.
anyone heard of him?

This is me feeling excited about reading.

Hurray for packages! Aren't they the best?

Thank you for making it so far!
