Kali is the Hindu Goddess of destruction. She is the Shakti (female) energy invoked to bring justice to those who have suffered unfair treatment. Sometimes she comes into our lives to bring about transformation through destruction. She is the force that breaks our built-up egos. Kali brings about just treatment to oppressors. In Hindu storytelling, whenever Kali is invoked she is able to destroy whoever comes into her path, no matter how powerful or how many.
When I feel angry I imagine Kali coming alive in me, protecting me and seeking justice for all that is just not cool in my world.
